Πρόθεση
Όταν πριν από μερικά χρόνια έφυγα από την Ελλάδα, δεν είχα σκεφτεί ότι μία μέρα θα φτάσω στο σημείο να συνπονέσω τους ανθρώπους και τον τόπο και να ενώσω μαζί τους την φωνή μου, ενάντια στην κυβέρνηση της χώρας που έζησα για 11 χρόνια.
Με όσα έγιναν απο τότε που ξεκίνησε η οικονομική κρίση, μιλώντας με φίλους και γνωστούς στην Ελλάδα, άκουγα πως, ο κάθενας με το δικό του τρόπο περιέγραφε τον πόνο και την οργή του για αυτή τη κρίση. Βλέποντας τα επισόδια της Αθήνας, αισθανόμουν ότι θα έπρεπε να είμαι κι εγώ στην κεντρική πλατεία της Αθήνας ( πλατεία Συντάγματος) ως ένας παραπάνω.
Άκουγα αντιφατικές ειδήσεις από τα ξένα πρακτορία, καθώς οι ξένοι στο εξωτερικό σχολίαζαν, ανάλογα με το επίπεδο και τις γνώσεις τους, την Ελλάδα. Έναν τόπο στον οποίο, όλη η ιστορία και ο πολιτισμός της Ευρώπης βασίζεται.
Όλα αυτά τα ερωτηματικά με έκαναν να ξεκινήσω αυτή την ταινία και οποία θεωρώ ότι είναι μεγάλη μου τιμή να προσφέρω έστω και λίγο. Ένα μικρό αφιέρωμα σε έναν τόπο που αισθάνομαι ώς μια άλλη μου πατρίδα, καθώς μου έμαθε να αγαπήσω τη τέχνη του κινηματογράφου.
Η ελλάδα μπορεί να έχει φτάσει σε χρεοκοπία, όπως έγινε σε άλλες χώρες στο παρελθόν, ενδεχομένως και στο μέλλον. Στον κόσμο όμως η ελπίδα και η μαχητικότητα, δεν πεθαίνει τόσο εύκολα καθώς η Ελλάδα έχει ομορφιές και δυνατότητες που θα ζήλευει κάθε άλλη χώρα και κάθε ξένος. Με άλλα λόγια, η ζωή δεν είναι μόνο μιζέρια.

Intension
When I left Greece a few years ago, I did not think that one day I will come to a point to sympathize with the people and the place and I will join my voice with theirs, against the government of the country where I lived for 11 years.
During all that has happened since the financial crisis began, talking with friends and acquaintances in Greece, I was listening how everyone in his own way was describing his pain and his indignation for this crisis. Seeing the incidents in Athens, I was feeling that I should also be in the central square of Athens, (Constitution Square) as one more.
I was hearing contradictory reports from the foreign news agencies, as the foreigners abroad were commenting on Greece, according to their level and knowledge. The place on which the whole history and civilization of Europe is based.
All these questions have made me conceive this film and I consider it a great honor for me to be able to offer even just this little. A small tribute to a place that I feel as my other homeland, as it has taught me to love the art of cinematography.
Greece may have reached bankruptcy, as it has happened in the past with other countries, perhaps even in the future. The hope and the fighting spirit of the people though do not die so easily as Greece has much beauty and many possibilities that any other country and any foreigner would envy. In other words, life is not only misery.
